Sprint Auto Parts SA Track Championships
Racing Onn is proud to announce introduce The Sprint Auto Parts SA Track Championships. This championship is a points based series and will be run over a three round series with trophies to be won for each round for the winner and runner up. At the final round large prize money and a champions trophy will be awarded to the winner and runner up of the series for each bracket.
Sprint Auto Parts has also put up $500 for the first person to get the perfect light at each of these events to spend in their nominated Sprint Auto Parts store.
The three round dates are:
Round 1 Saturday 17th May
Round 2 Saturday 16th August
Final Saturday 22nd November
The John Milics award will also be presented at the final round.
Classes that will be eligible for this series are
Super Comp (1000ft)
Supercharged Outlaw (1000ft)
Modified
Super Sedan
Modified Bike
Super Street
Super Gas
Junior Dragster
Street Car (day licence permitted)
Street Bike (day licence permitted )
A minimum of 8 vehicles per bracket are required to qualify for each event to ensure maximum prize money is paid out. If there is not enough entries in a particular bracket, the bracket will still be contested for points however prize money will be paid on a pro rata basis ie 1/3 or 2/3 pending entries on each event.
Points are allocated as follows:
100 points = Win
80 points = Runner Up
60 points = Semi Finals
40 points = Quarter Finals
10 points = Early Bird entry (2 weeks prior to each event)
5 points = Track champs bonus for entering and paying for all 3 event prior to the first event.
John Milics Award = Awarded to the racer with the highest points earned over the 3 event series. If there is a tie, we will use the tie decider as per the ANDRA rule book.
By entering and paying for prior to the first event, for all three events, you will receive a discount of 10% on your total entry price. If you decide to do all three events, you will only need to fill in the entry form once for all three events.
Champion Trophies and Prize money will be awarded for the winner and runner up for each bracket at the end of the final round only.
The perpetual Sprint Auto Parts Trophy will have the winners name printed on the plaque and kept at Sprint Auto Parts head office until the following year. A trophy resembling the perpetual trophy will also be awarded to each winner at completion of the final event.
Entry forms and event information for each round will be available on the Racing Onn website along with the common set of supplementary regulations for the series.
Racing will be run under an elimination format with three qualifiers and straight into eliminations, this includes the street car and street bike brackets.
In case of a rain out, we will try to run the event the next day (Raceway permitting) In case of not being able to complete the event, all entries will receive 20 points. In case of complete abandonment, no refund will be issued if racing had begun. If racing has not started, your entry will be transferred to the next event with the prize money being 1/3 less than the full amount.
