Desert Nationals Alice Springs Summit Series July 21st 2023
After deciding to go to the Desert Nationals for the first time in a couple of years, we couldn't wait for the first bit of action to start. Alas due to weather and track conditions it was short lived and the meeting was cancelled after 90 minutes of racing. Safety first at all times .

Southcoast Dragway Portland 660 Series January 23rd & 24th 2021
What a great weekends racing with plenty of quality cars and bikes showing that they meant business. The numerous wheelstands made for some exited spectators and they were also treated to some massive burnouts.

AIR Rowe Memorial Classic November 23rd 2019
The day had some great cars and bikes vying for the top honours but unfortunately the Classic did not did not finish with any finals due to some technical difficulties during the day. It was still a good days racing and look forward to the next one.

The Desert Nationals proved once again it was the place to be, with 3 xTop Bikes a couple of Door Slammers and a Jet Car. There was something for everyone and a good time was had by all. Can't wait until the next one.

Well, after an eight month absence, the drags are finally back ! With good weather and a big turnout it was straight down to business and before long Tyson Long's little Toyota was into the 8's. Darren Mallison was happy with his Cortina which ran fast all day and also dipped into the 8's, thanks to help from Horner Performance .

A huge field and plenty of air from some tough cars and bikes made for a meet which had something for everyone. Unfortunately Matt Czerny crashed his Dragster at the deep end of the track but i'm sure he'll be back.

Another great Easter Supercharged Shootout at Sunset Strip which broke the entrant attendants record and saw plenty of fast times and some huge wheel stands keeping the crowd entertained.

With a record breaking number of entries this was going to be a great weekend. Ufortunately with the high winds and dust on Saturday half way through the day, the meeting was stopped and completed on Sunday. It was still a great meet.

It was promising to be a great meet with a plethora of tough cars and bikes but mother nature had other ideas with dust sweeping over the track periodically causing unsafe conditions and the meeting was cancelled before the finals could be run.

Portland proved once again it's a great track to be at. Racers gave us plenty to cheer about with some awesome wheel standing action and indexes being re-set for others. Can't wait to go back in January.

Eliminations on the final day proved to be just as good as yesterday. With a few tense moments for the Holden Trade Club Monaro team as it slapped the wall but luckily no-one was hurt.

Some of the fastest VL Turbo's and Rotaries in the world brought the crowd to their feet in an awesome display of power per cubic inch, which we haven't seen in Adelaide since the last Nationals here in 2005.

It was Ben Bray, who after working all night with his crew putting a new engine together ended up in the winners circle. While the Modified bracket had it's fair share of mechanicall drama's.

Some new cars were out testing on Sunday getting ready for the Spring Nationals next week. Mark Lee and Rob Sitko were out in their new Camaro running straight all day long. Dave Argent had a good day with PB's getting into the 9's and Phil Rillotta was out testing his 1005 ci Camaro.

Saturday was a perfect day for the Street Meet at 24 degrees. Although numbers were down on the previous meet, most entrants so many runs in that im not sure whether it was the drivers or the cars that were more tired.

With intermittant rain and computer problems, it was a testing time for the final of the Max Cranes Tri Series for 2012 / 2013 but with over 50 competitors there was some good racing for everyone to watch and some great flag waving too .

With a field of more than 160 competitors this was Portlands biggest ever meet. My first visit here and I was very impressed. Lush green grass everywhere, friendly people, and great racing. The Club and officials did a fantastic job .

Whyalla saw what this sport is all about, with Dave Argent winning Modified Bike and Dylan Argent winning Junior Dragster. There's nothing like seeing family coming together and both in the Winners circle .. This is a great sport. Congrats guys.

Mildura turned on some warm weather and some great action for the Tri Series on the weekend. Mark Kuhn was entertaining the crowd with huge burnouts before he popped a blower belt which unfortunately bent some valves in his stunning Corvette.

Mildura played host to a stable of Top Doorslammers this weekend and they didn't disappoint. Maurice Fabietti had a scare in his Commodore though when he slammed into the infield wall, but came out unscathed to everyone's delight..

The main highlight of the day was Paul Greghini running a 6.1 second pass to claim the fastest Doorslammer run at AIR. David Blackley takes a tumble in his BB/MD but walks away unhurt, thankfully.
